As the first member of staff to have joined Hayes Connor after the founding partners, I have played a crucial role in helping to develop our practice into the only dedicated data protection breach law firm in the UK.
I am also Hayes Connor’s Certified Data Protection Officer, providing immediate strategic advice for our clients and staff with data protection issues. I am responsible for providing all employees with data protection training to fall in line with the General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR).
I assist to monitor internal compliance, inform and advise on data protection obligations, provide advice regarding Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Data Subject Access Requests (DSAR) and I act as a contact point for data subjects and the supervisory authority.
Having studied Business and Information Technology at university, I have spent many years assisting and supporting victims of serious crime. In that time, I have gained vast experience of managing a team of legal assistants and fee earners, helping and assisting them to develop in their roles. This includes providing training, mentoring and support where needed.
The most enjoyable part of my role is always going the extra mile to make sure our clients’ rights are protected and that they get the damages they deserve. This simply would not be achievable if we did not have such an amazing, dedicated and knowledgeable team behind us.
When I’m not in work, I most enjoy spending time with my family, as well as playing football and travelling.
