As you will be aware this is the second time in 3 years that the Dixons Carphone Group has been compromised on Data Security.
The ICO are currently investigating the most recent breach, for which you have signed up to our group action.
We will today be taking the first step in that action by submitting a Disclosure request to the company for information on the specific technical aspects of the breach. This is an evidence gathering exercise that the Company will have 21 days to respond too.
Once we have received the information we will begin to draft and submit our letter of claim on your behalf with a request to meet the company to discuss how the claims can conclude without litigation.
Making it Easy Ltd has been fined £160,000 by the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) for making spam calls to people registered with the Telephone Preference Service (TPS). The ICO has also issued an enforcement notice to Making it Easy Ltd ordering it to stop its illegal marketing activity.
